Rock the Harbour 2026: General Information
Rock the Harbour is back and ready to cement its reputation as Atlantic Canada’s premier classic rock festival, with a fantastic lineup of Canadian bands playing the hits music lovers have enjoyed for decades.
Now entering its fourth year, Rock the Harbour has become a summer tradition for classic rock fans and continues to be held at Alderney Landing, bringing together a mix of national acts and local talent. More than a quarter of the lineup features Atlantic Canadian artists, helping showcase the region’s music scene alongside well-known names.
Additionally, as a non-profit organization, Alderney Landing’s involvement means that supporting the festival contributes to the Halifax community, with revenue helping to fund local programming and initiatives.
Rock the Harbour 2026 is set to be bigger and louder than ever, with three days of musical performances, onsite merchandising, and local food vendors rocking the iconic Dartmouth waterfront with views of the Halifax Harbour and city skyline. Rock the Harbour 2026 is a three-day festival held over a weekend in mid-August.
It kicks off on Friday, August 14th, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. and the first performance beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15th follows the same schedule, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. and performances starting at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16th is closing day, with gates opening at 3:30 p.m. and performances beginning at 4:45 p.m..m. On Saturday, August 16th, gates open slightly earlier at 3:30 p.m., with performances starting at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, August 17th is closing day, with an impressive lineup of classic rock artists starting at 6:00 pm.

Rock the Harbour will again be held at the open-air events plaza in Alderney Landing along the Dartmouth waterfront, with merchandising, local food vendors, and food trucks located on the festival grounds. Ticket Prices
- Single Day Pass: $80 CAD+
- Weekend Pass: $225 CAD
- VIP Weekend Pass: $450 CAD+
Ticket prices start at around $80 CAD for a single-day pass and $225 CAD for a full weekend pass. VIP weekend passes are also available for those looking for an upgraded experience.
This is a 19+ event, and no re-entry is permitted once you enter the festival grounds.
All tickets provide general admission for the date or dates of their validity and include access to the festival grounds, including the stage area and vendors.
Guests are permitted to bring one sealed water bottle, umbrellas, and folding lawn chairs, making it easy to set up and enjoy the performances comfortably. Rock the Harbour official website for more information about what you can bring and what is prohibited.

Saturday, August 15th

The second day of Rock the Harbour 2026 continues with another full evening of performances. Haywire opens the night, followed by Nick Gilder and Sweeney Todd. Kim Mitchell closes out Saturday with a set of well-known Canadian rock hits.

- 4:45 p.m. – Michelle Ryder & Side Hustle

The final day of Rock the Harbour features a strong lineup of Canadian talent. The evening wraps up with Loverboy, closing out the festival with a set of classic favourites.
