Completing your reservation is conditional upon your acceptance and compliance with the terms, conditions, notices, and disclaimers contained below and elsewhere on this Website (collectively, “Terms and Conditions”). By completing your reservation, you will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you will be entering into a binding agreement with the Hotel, located at 1572 Barrington Street, Halifax, NS, B3J 1Z6 (the “Premises”).

In these Terms and Conditions, the use of “you” refers to the individual booking the reservation and any additional individual(s) occupying the Premises pursuant to the reservation. The use of “Hotel”, “we”, or “us” refers to Cameo Hotel & Suites.

  1. Reservations

1.1. You must be at least 19 years of age to reserve a room using the Website.

1.2. You agree to only make reservations to meet your personal needs, or those of another person on whose behalf you are authorized to make reservations.

1.3. All reservations made through the Website must be made in good faith and in compliance with the law.

1.4. A credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee/pay for your reservation.

1.5. We reserve the right to cancel or modify a reservation in the event of fraudulent or inappropriate conduct, as well as for any error or inaccuracy in the reservation.

  1. Check In/Check Out

2.1. Check-in and check-out times are noted in your reservation confirmation details. You may check-in online before the noted check-in time and receive your door access codes in advance of arrival, but your door access code will automatically activate only from the noted check-in time onwards.

2.2. Upon check in, a valid credit card must be present with a minimum balance of $300 (if room fee was pre-paid) or a minimum balance of the total room fee plus $300 (if room fee was not pre-paid).

2.3. The Hotel does not provide early check-in or late check-out options. A secure luggage room is available where guests can self-store their luggage if they arrive too early or have a later departure than the official check out time.

2.4. The Hotel is an automated self-service facility. You may check-in online using the Website prior to your arrival or use the self check-in kiosk option on arrival.

2.5. You must be at least 19 years of age to check-in at the Hotel.

2.6. At check-in, if pre-payment has not been made, the Hotel will charge an amount equal to the total cost of your stay. The hotel will also preauthorize an additional $300.00 for damages and incidentals. This authorization is released by the guest’s bank automatically within 5 business days from the day of departure unless charges are incurred. Some banks/cards may take longer to release the hold. The Hotel cannot expedite this process or release the hold manually.

2.7. The $300.00 security deposit amount will be charged for the cost of fixing or replacing any damaged items during your stay. If the cost of remediating the damage exceeds the preauthorized amount of $300.00, the Hotel will attempt to recover the difference from the credit card on file. If card charges are unsuccessful, the Hotel will contact you to request an alternative method of payment. You acknowledge and agree that the deposit amount will not limit the right of the Hotel to exercise or pursue any remedy available in law or in equity for breach of these Terms and Conditions, including, but not limited to, damages on appliances, furniture, finishes, or any other costs or losses resulting from your negligence.

2.8. You can store your luggage before check-in or after check-out in the luggage room located in the lobby of the Hotel. The code you will receive for the lobby door will allow you to access the luggage room from 7 a.m. of your check-in date until 7 p.m. of your check-out date. The luggage room is not supervised by staff. You may utilize the room at your own risk and the Hotel is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

4.2. Guests may have temporary visitors, but holding parties (as determined by the hotel) that involve multiple visitors who are not the original guests of the suite is prohibited.

4.3. The Hotel reserves the right to ask your visitors to exit the premises if they are causing a disturbance or have negative interactions with the staff.

5.2. All payments made are subject to your respective bank’s charges for foreign transaction fees, where applicable. Additional foreign exchange fees may also apply if any other currency, which is not from the issued card’s country, is selected to be charged.

5.3. If you choose to check out of the Hotel without settling your bill in full, you expressly and irrevocably authorize the Hotel to charge your credit card on file all charges you may have incurred including any damage or loss caused by you to the Hotel during your stay.

  1. Pets

6.1. Pets are prohibited in the Hotel. Only licensed service dogs are permitted.

  1. Smoking Policy
